About

Ragged Roads Moto

Born on a dream of riding endless dirt roads, moto camping on mountain tops, and getting away from the day-to-day grind. Adventure bikes and dual-sports are one of the best ways to do that, having the ability to put you into an immediate flow state.

Ragged Roads is a company with roots from coast to coast. The idea originated when John was living in a small hamlet East of the “Ragged Islands” in the province of Nova Scotia. The idea came from a time when John was unemployed and battling with mental health. At the time the only thing that would bring a smile to his face was getting on his ADV bike and finding a dirt road or trail. The thought of "How can I do this every day" consumed his mind.

Now you can find Ragged Roads Moto based on Vancouver Island, in the province of British Columbia in the community of Port Renfrew. Port Renfrew is the perfect Pacific Northwest hideaway for the Ragged Roads crew, providing endless dirt roads, mountains, and forests just minutes from home. The community of Port Renfrew could be considered a huge city compared to the townships near the “Ragged Islands”, but remains a quaint village to most travelers lucky enough to pass through.

John

If you’ve ever gone on a ride with John, you will know he has a “one-track” mind. DIRT, DIRT, DIRT. Five minutes of pavement punishment will have John squawking like a seagull over the comms, but watch out for when he hits the trails because nothing will slow him down... Except for flat tires, he gets those all the time.

When John’s hips need a break you’ll find him hiding just out of sight with his camera. Don’t be fooled by his humble demeanor; John has a true passion for still photography, with the skills and experience to capture the peak moment of action. You can check out some of his epic shots on Instagram @johnrathwell.

Colin

Colin is not your average Joe, and that’s because his name is Colin. He's the video mastermind and adventure rider extraordinaire at Ragged Roads Moto, with a never-ending passion for sharing adventure and a knack for capturing epic moments.

When Colin isn't tearing up the dirt, he's behind the lens, using his keen eye for detail to create jaw-dropping videos that showcase the thrill and freedom of adventure riding.

Tracy

The Unsung Hero of Ragged Roads Moto; While the rest of us are busy dreaming up crazy ideas and getting carried away with our passion for motorcycles, Tracy is always there to bring us back down to earth. She is the voice of reason, the one who talks us out of doing dumb things.

Tracy's ability to see the bigger picture and think logically has saved us from countless mistakes. Whether it's talking us out of investing in something silly like a Sasquatch costume, or reminding us that we probably aren’t good enough to "just send it", Tracy is always there to steer us in the right direction.

Ragged Randy

Deep in the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest, a legend roams the winding roads. An elusive motorcycle-riding Sasquatch! This enigmatic creature, known for its terrible riding (and terrible smell), has become the stuff of legends among the motorcycle community.

Legends say that this Sasquatch possesses an uncanny ability to navigate treacherous mountain roads despite riding skills that are said to be “truly pathetic”, akin to toddlers on strider bikes. Being nearly impossible to spot, Randy blends seamlessly into the dense forests and if not for his ridiculous Golden helmet we would likely never find him.

Randy remains a master of stealth when it comes to showing up to the office, with a reputation as the ultimate slacker at Ragged Roads Moto. Despite his lackluster work ethic, Randy has become a beloved figure among the staff.

If you ever find yourself exploring the scenic roads of the Pacific Northwest, keep an eye out for Ragged Randy, the elusive Sasquatch. Remember, while he may be the worst employee at Ragged Roads Moto, he is also a symbol of adventure and the untamed spirit of any ragged dirt road.
